This project designs for a hypothetical exhibition "Walking Into The Vessels: The Art of Abstract Sublime". The design develops a sublime and serene visual language, which has been applied to a catalog, a poster series and promotional materials.
The catalog holds essays and artworks of selected artists in the exhibition. The long and thin page setting and layouts create visual extensions to the infinite. It is generous with white space, leaving the readers to contemplate the subject.
The messaging of the exhibition wall is consistent with the catalog cover – the subtle shades of blue in the background creates an abstract space.
The poster series is a space of extending the visual language in the catalog design. It uses abstract and flat graphics, and subtle changes of color in the background to create a sense of dimensional movement and sublimity.
